A Will is an essential document that every responsible adult should put in place.
It is a choice that you make for the benefit of your family and loved ones.
To quote from Ricky Gervais After Life
"Good people do things for other people. That's it. The End."
It's just too important to put off !
Taking the time to put a legally valid Will in place means that you can get on with
the rest of your life, knowing that should the worst happen your instructions will
be carried out, your family are provided for, and they can move forward with the minimum of bureaucracy and problems at such a difficult time.
Nobody wants to contemplate our passing, but as Benjamin Franklin famously said,
"nothing can be certain, except death and taxes."
If you do not have a plan for what will happen should you unexpectedly pass away,
then the government does and the law will enforce it.
Ours is a story built upon family and integrity.
Our goal is to treat and work with our clients in the same way that we would want our
family members to be treated. That means friendly, politely, honestly and gently.
We will take the time necessary to deliver our service in the way that you need it to be delivered.

We offer a friendly yet professional approach to Will writing .
We understand that end of life is not something most people want to think about. So just get it out of the way and get on living your life. It's that simple.
Its never too early to get your Will in place.
Writing a Will can be a complex and daunting process. We can help you get it all sorted in a simple and effortless process.
For many Wills all that is required is a 30 to 45 minute discussion. We may ask you to provide one or two additional pieces of information, and from there we can go away and begin drafting your Will.
Some complex Wills may require further analysis and discussion to reach the optimal Will structure.
We will normally provide a draft Will in 14 days for you to review and together we can clarify any questions or make any changes that you might request.
We will then provide a Final approved copy to be signed by you and your witnesses. We can provide instructions for signing or attend the signing to ensure everything is done correctly.
Many people have no idea, or
even worse, an incorrect idea, about how things would work
out if they were to pass away unexpectedly.
We offer an Estate Assessment whereby we will build a picture
of your current assets and family circumstances, whether or not
you currently have a Will, and develop a view as to how things would work out, under the
current rules, should you, and / or
a partner, suddenly pass away.
If you are not certain that you
want a will then this may be a
good place to start. It will give
you some real data to consider. Including how your assets may be distributed, how much inheritance tax may have to be paid, and how your surviving family members lives may be impacted.
Obviously we hope that your passing will be many years in the future and it is impossible to be certain what rules will be in place and what your situation might be at that time.
However, the process of optimising the distribution of an estate after death can only be effectively managed if planned for and implemented many years ahead of the event.
For the majority of people writing
a Will is straightforward. However, families, and estates, can get very complicated and this requires a more considered approach.
There may be specific protections that you want to put in place for people or assets. There may also be exclusions.
Obviously we hope that your passing will be many years in the future and it is impossible to be certain what rules will be in place and what your situation might be at that time. However, the process of optimising the distribution of an estate after death can only be effectively managed if planned for and implemented many years ahead of the event.
You can only achieve the best outcome if you understand the rules and constraints imposed by the law.
If you have a specific concern or worry in relation to how your estate may be distributed after your death then we can talk it through with you and present your options.
We can also explain and put in place strategies, plans and actions in order to pursue the outcome that you desire.
LPA's or Lasting Power of Attorney have become much more common in recent times. People have become more aware of the problems and risks that can be encountered if you become unable to make decisions on your own behalf.
There are two types of LPA:
One that allows you to appoint somebody to make financial decisions. This refers to things
like your property or your bank accounts etc. The other allows
you to appoint somebody to
make decisions related to health and welfare. This refers to things like medical treatments and
how you are looked after.
You can also make a further LPA specifically related to your Business. This is actually a financial LPA, but dedicated to issues that might arise in relation to your business interests if you were to lose mental capacity. You may need dedicated and experienced people to take control of your business interests.
You can only make an LPA whilst you have full mental capacity.
